World Ocean: problems, trends and prospects

Press conference “Man and World Ocean: from Harmony to Confrontation” was held on Tuesday, September 21 at the Russian International Information Agency RIA Novosti. The press-conference was arranged to coincide with the World Sea Day. Different issues were discussed in the course of this event: the role of the World Ocean in climate change; current state of marine areas, problems, projects and new technologies for World Ocean studies; modern technologies for studying marine areas, monitoring and control over environmental situation and observing animals whose life is associated with water etc.
