SCANEX Software offers a range of software products that provide a full cycle of functions: from control of the receiving stations and pre-processing of the received information to the management of the ERS data archives, thematic processing of raster and vector data, and creating web-based applications. The offered software solutions can be used for processing data received from various satellite platforms, from different receiving stations, and from different providers. The software and end products fully comply with international ERS quality standards.
SOFTWARE FOR GROUND RECEIVING STATION MANAGEMENT
UniScan Control Package (UCP) is a software package for control of the ground receiving stations, such as UniScan and Panda.
- calculation and editing of the work station’s program (schedule) based on orbital elements of satellites and their data transmission schedules,
- fully automatic, operator-free work program completion: from antenna control to data recording on a disk,
- measurement and display of parameters of the current condition of the station components and the information flow being received,
- automatic generation of detailed reports on the work performed,
- ensuring interaction with the control centre for remote management of the station.
UCP has a traditional graphic user interface for station management (planning the station work and displaying its current state) through a single terminal.
SOFTWARE FOR PRELIMINARY DATA PROCESSING
ScanEx Tools are specialised software programs for the pre-processing and generation of information products for ground-based complexes that receive and process ERS data within various space programs: NOAA, METOP, TERRA, AQUA, SNPP, FY, METEOR, IRS, RADARSAT, SPOT, EROS and others.
The pre-processing software package is unique to each spacecraft; it is usually provided as part of the data-processing terminal (server + software) and includes several software components to unpack the original bit stream, for geolocation and radiometric calibration of ERS data, and the generation of products for standard processing levels in the required nomenclature formats. Typically, each software package has a uniform graphical user interface allowing for the performance of batch data processing.
STATIONS CAN BE SUPPLIED WITH DATA PROCESSING AUTOMATION SOFTWARE
The system may be expanded to process the data from such satellites as SPOT-6/7, EROS-A / B and others. In addition, it can be adapted to any third-party ground-based ERS data-receiving complexes.
ScanEx ADPS® allows for the automation of the processes of copying data received by the ground stations from the receiving PC to the processing PC, and then further processing of ERS data up to the standard level 1B end products (radiometrically adjusted and geo-located images) and 2A level (data in map projection, in GeoTIFF format). The ScanEx ADPS functionalities allow the operator to control the system in real time; this includes processing results visualisation tools in the form of mosaic coatings on the three-dimensional model of the Earth.
STATIONS CAN BE SUPPLIED WITH SOFTWARE FOR VIEWING, CATALOGING, OPERATING, EXTENSIVE PROCESSING AND THEMATIC INTERPRETATION OF ERS IMAGES
is an easy-to-use, autonomous and multi-functional software for the viewing, analysis and processing of ERS data, as well as for the organisation of catalogues of the satellite imagery results. Suitable for data in the operational (near-real time) mode.
is software for visualisation, advanced analysis and in-depth thematic processing of optical and radar imagery; it is an effective tool for solving a wide range of practical tasks. In addition to the main (basic) module, the program has a number of additional plug-in modules:

is software designed for processing AVHRR radiometer information from polar-orbiting NOAA, METOP satellites for cloud analysis and environment monitoring. The main application of the program is diagnostics of the cloud in operational synoptic practice.

The owners of ERS data archives can create their own local and online portals, allowing users to search, view and retrieve the necessary information about the images stored in the provider’s directory, as well as send requests about the ERS data they may require.
