Last year’s satellite image of Tyumen received from SPOT 7 was published in the rubric earlier. Today we present to your attention a highly detailed image of the same territory received from Pleiades-1A satellite on August 24, 2017.

Spatial resolution of the image is about 0,5 m. The image shows the city’s infrastructure, including the Tyumen Bridge of Lovers, a pedestrian cable-stayed bridge across the river Tura, one of the attractions of the city. By tradition on Valentine’s Day residents of Tyumen lay a huge heart of rose petals and photos under the bridge on the ice.

The stadium «Geolog» located in the historical center of the city and the largest water park in Russia «Aquamarine», which is now under construction and is expected to be open next spring, can be also seen on the image.
