The image of the southern coast of the Gulf of Finland and Peterhof was received on October 19, 2016 from Pleiades-1B satellite.

Peterhof is a municipal town in Petrodvortsovy District of the federal city of St. Petersburg. It is a famous tourist, scientific and educational center founded in 1710 as an imperial country residence.

A monument of world architecture and palace-park art of XVIII–XIX centuries Museum «Peterhof» is located here. The Grand Palace, the Upper Gardens and The Lower Park can be seen on the image fragments.

On July 23, 2005 Peterhof was given the status of science city of Russia.
