The image of the Kuyurgazinsky District of the Republic of Bashkortostan was received on August 14, 2016 from SPOT 7 satellite.

Kumertau city can be seen on the image. It is located in the southern part of Bashkortostan, 250 km south of Ufa. The name of the city means «coal mountain».

Kumertau was founded in 1947 in connection with the beginning of the industrial development of Verhne-Babaevskoe deposit of South Ural brown coal basin. Currently the main enterprise in the city is helicopter factory Kumertau Aviation Production Enterprise, which is famous for the multipurpose helicopters with coaxial rotor Ka-226Т and-Ка-32A11VS as well as naval helicopters.
