High-resolution image of Vladivostok was received on May 17, 2016 from Pleiades-1B satellite. Vladivostok Commercial Sea Port is located on the north-west coast of Vladivostok in the ice-free Zolotoi Rog Bay. It is one of the main transport hubs of the Far East, which plays an important role in international transportation in the Asia-Pacific region.
Vladivostok Sea Port was founded in 1897. Historically, it was oriented to transshipment of cabotage cargoes, although it successfully coped with the overload of imported and export cargo throughout its history. In 1991 the port was opened for foreign trade activities.
Currently, the Vladivostok Commercial Sea Port has a service structure corresponding to world standards, including stevedoring, agency, forwarding, towing, surveyor, tallyman and other companies. Navigation is carried out all year round.
