In addition, On December 1 an open meeting of the Association of satellite imagery data suppliers and users “Earth from Space” was also held. The decision was made about the necessity to conduct a comprehensive qualitative and quantitative analysis of the RS market. Such studies are needed, first of all, to create a civilized market and to develop the customer segment.

Two more companies – “Baikal Center” and the Scientific Group “AZOT” – became new members of the “Earth from Space” Association on December 1. The main goal of this Association, established in 2010, is to assist in the development of the technologies of reception, processing, distribution and application of Earth observation data by taking active part in legal and structural reformations in Earth remote sensing.

The Association will be the principal organizer of future conferences “Earth from Space – the Most Effective Solutions”. Earlier the ideologist and the organizer of this biennial event was ScanEx RDC.

— “Earth from Space” Association unites different companies, operating in the field of remote sensing. Therefore the Organizing Committee of the conference made the decision to pass the right to organize and conduct it to this Association. Our Center will surely support the event as one of the sponsors, - said General Director of ScanEx RDC Vladimir Gershenzon and passed the symbolic palm to the “Earth from Space” Association Board Chairman of Victor Lavrov and to its CEO Elena Ash.

On December 2, the Moscow Region “Vatutinki” complex will also witness the min-conference “WEB&GIS 2011”. It is dedicated to and is the logical continuation of the 5th International EFS Conference work.
